Mission Statement

OUR POLICY IS TO SATISFY OUR CUSTOMERS AND PRICE COMPETITIVELY. WE BELIEVE IN HONESTY, INTEGRITY, AND FULL ATTENTION TO OUR BUSINESS, OUR CUSTOMERS, AND OUR SUPPLIERS.

WE OFFER INFORMATION AND ALTERNATIVES TO CUSTOMERS EVEN IF WE DON'T SELL AN ITEM.

WE ENCOURAGE COMMENTS AND IF ANYONE IS UNHAPPY, FOR ANY REASON, WE WILL FULLY ADDRESS  THE ISSUES.

THE INTENT IS CONTINUED EXPANSION OF OUR CUSTOMER BASE WITH EMPHASIS ON WORD OF MOUTH RECOMMENDATIONS.

WE SUPPORT LOCAL AND USA MANUFACTURED ITEMS TO THE FULLEST POSSIBLE EXTENT. WE ALSO SUPPORT COMMUNITY EVENTS AND LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS.

Company Profile

Mountain Road Trading Post has been in existence for over 40 years. We have built a reputation for quality products, friendly, knowledgeable service and competitive prices (and no sales tax!).

Our business is small and personally owned by Penny and George Beaumont and Shawn Roche. We are very knowledgeable about our product lines, including  materials and designs, and carry a full line of related accessories.

We stock most of the popular models by the following paddlesports manufacturers:

Kayaks by 'Old Town', 'Heritage', 'Native Watercraft', 'Necky', 'Current Designs' and 'Prijon'. 

Canoes by 'Old Town' and 'Radisson'. 

Sit-on-top kayaks by 'Ocean Kayak', 'Old Town' and 'Heritage'.

We also carry all accessories that you need to make your canoeing or kayaking adventure safe and fun.

We rent Old Town 'Discovery' canoes and all popular models of polyethylene Kayaks and have these models to demo for interested buyers.

During the spring of 2003 we opened our full line fly shop - the 'Mountain Road Fly'. Product lines currently include 'Temple Fork Outfitters', 'Diamond Back', 'Okuma', 'Hodgman'  and more.......
