About the 2008 Tourney: This year's tourney appeared to be a great success and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun. We had a full compliment of 35 kayakers and boarded 66 bass (all over 12"). Our 'tag-a-long' - 'live wells' worked well and all fish were released alive. It seemed that everybody enjoyed the cookout & awards gathering after the tourney.
Special Thanks to our 'Weigh-in' boats: 7 roving 'weigh-in' boats were on the water all day. These boats had a yellow flag displayed for identification and used cell phones for contact. Awards Party: An Awards party and cookout was held following the Tourney at The Mountain Road Trading Post with dealer representatives from Heritage Kayaks & Native Watercraft to answer any questions about the growing sport of kayak fishing. Again, thanks to all that contributed and participated, and to Chuck Joy (our Legacy Paddlesports rep) and George Hammond for his great food, cooking and otherwise pitchin' In. We encourage comments and input to make improvements to our unique Tourney. If you have any comments or suggestions - please contact us at mrtp01@comcast.net or call 603.895.3501
